50th Anniversary Reunion Event

Baldy Mountain Resort will be celebrating the people, powder and parties that built the mountain into what we all know and love today with a 50 Year reunion weekend Jan 25-27th.

From day one 1968-69 season when the McKinney T-bar began hauling skiers up our slopes, there has been one constant connecting the past to today, and that’s the unique character and vibe of the Baldy community. Over the past half century there has been a dedicated and passionate crew of locals that have carved a memory making factory out of the side of Baldy Mountain. All season long, we’ll have a series of content celebrating the “People of Baldy,” highlighting the stories behind our favourite lifts and trails. It all culminates with a 50th Year Reunion in the Baldy’s classic lodge on January 26th.

FRIDAY, JAN 25th – Welcome Night 5:00pm onward

• Come down to the Baldy Bar as you arrive to catch up with old and new friends and enjoy some of the finest food the Baldy chefs have to offer.
• Casual Meet and Greet in the lodge
• Appetizer plate specials
• No registration required, just show up when you arrive

SATURDAY, JAN 26th

• Sunrise Breakfast – 7:00 – 9:00am
  • Breakfast at the top of the Eagle Chair as the sun rises over the horizon, followed by 1.5 hours of fresh tracks before the lifts open to the public.
  • $14.99
  • Your choice of a chorizo sausage wrap or vegetarian wrap. If you have any special dietary concerns call us (250-498-4086) and let us know and we’ll do our best to accommodate

• Retro Race – 11:00am – 2:00pm – Tenning’s Trail, Sugarlump Chair – FREE
  • Get on your best and oldest retro gear and come on out for a fun, timed race on the Tenning’s Trail.
  • Bring along the oldest season pass that you have to show the race starter. For each decade you’ll receive a 1 second handicap off your race time!
  • Prizes for the best retro gear, and fastest skiers / boarders
  • Please call Veronica at 250-498-4086 ahead of time so we know how many racers to expect

• Anniversary Dinner and Party – 5:00 – late – $24.99
  • Enjoy a fun filled evening of food, friends, fun and reminiscing about the good ole days
  • Pasta dinner including drink, bun and dessert
  • 3 sittings for dinner at 5:00,6:00 and 7:00. Please register online or call Veronica at 250-498-4086 ahead of time to reserve your space and let us know which sitting you would like.
  • Communal, long tables to get to know your neighbours. No reserved seating
