Voltfuse presents the Banked and Janked Slalom on The Baldy Beast course

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR ALL BANKED AND JANKED SLALOM PARTICIPANTS:
– All Racers must sign a waiver before racing. Waivers to be signed between 9:00 and 10:30am in the Baldy Bar.
– Racers under 19 must have their parents sign their waiver – no exceptions
– Course Inspection between 10:00 and 11:00 – no passing, must got slow, check out course, not racing the course
– HELMETS ARE MANDATORY
– NO inverted maneuvers allowed in the Mini-Park Jam
SCHEDULE:
9:00 – 10:30 – Waiver signing, registration and package pickup in The Baldy Bar
10:00 – 11:00 – Course Inspection
11:00 – 3:00 – Banked Slalom Race Runs
4:00 – 6:00pm – BBQ at Magic Carpet Base – Get your free burger
5:00 – 6:00 – Mini-Park Jam open to all participants on the Magic Carpet
6:15 – Mini-Park Jam awards at Base of Magic Carpet
7:00-7:15 – Banked Slalom Awards in Baldy Bar – Come get your free beer
The Beast is being unleashed this season. We’re building a brand new banked slalom course that is uniquely Baldy and unlike any other banked slalom course we’ve seen before. Dipping and diving through the famous Baldy trees, complete with banked turns, whoops, jumps and a few unique pieces of Baldy culture worked in The Baldy Beast is setting up to be super fun for all ages to race through.
On Feb 2nd we’ll be holding the first event on it, and it’s a big one! Voltfuse is presenting the first Banked and Janked slalom on The Baldy Beast and everyone is welcome to participate in the race. We also have a pro film crew coming out to film the event and Snowboard Canada magazine coming out to cover the unique event. Join us for the race and maybe get yourself Baldy famous with a shot in the video or pic in a major magazine 😉 Open to Skiers and Snowboarders of all ages!
It’s the deal of a half century (shout out 50th anniversary season) for participants. $15 gets you entry into the banked slalom race, a sweet event T-shirt (For the first 40 registrants only) with The Baldy Beast logo, a free hamburger in the BBQ Garden, a free beer (or soft drink for those under 19), and also entry into the evening mini-park jam. PLUS – we have some sweet prizes from our sponsors and Baldy for the top 3 in each division. Divisions are separated into Ski and Snowboard Over 19, 12 to 18 and under 12.
ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST SIGN A WAIVER BEFORE RACING. WAIVERS AVAILABLE TO BE SIGNED 9:00 – 10:30am IN THE BALDY BAR (Pick up your T-shirt then too)
Course inspection 10:00 – 11:00
The Banked Slalom runs 11:00 – 2:00
BBQ Garden with FREE BURGER and bon-fire at the base of the Magic Carpet and mini-park jam for all participants runs 5:00 – 6:00pm with awards to follow.
Live music and awards ceremony in The Baldy Bar after the mini-park jam. All participants can claim your free beer from event sponsor Hwy 97 Brewing in the bar.
