SKIING
EXPLORE THE MOUNTAIN
Baldy Mountain Resort offers an experience like no other. With an average of 25 feet of powder per year (and sometimes more), excellent daily grooming, and a wide variety of terrain to choose from, Baldy, on the boarder of South Okanagan and West Kootenay will leave you grinning from ear to ear. Two peaks, groomed corduroy cruisers, open gladed areas, iconic snow ghosts, and powder stashes for days can be found within the 600 acres of terrain. All of this, without the massive lift lineups! Baldy is a retro, cool hidden gem that offers an unplugged feeling of having the mountain to yourself…almost.
Calling all Powder Hounds
Baldy Mountain Resort is a powder paradise awaiting your discovery. The resort boasts amazing powder as Baldy is BC’s third highest-elevation ski area. That, coupled with stunning alpine vistas and the fresh mountain air, will provide the perfect winter wonderland experience for anyone visiting Baldy Mountain Resort. Explore our black run chutes, or cruise through our tree runs. With few lift lines and a reputation as a retro ski area, you’ll be making fresh tracks long into the afternoon. With the Eagle Chairlift closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, you can experience our famous Big POW Thursdays, with two whole days of untouched snow for you to enjoy.
Family Adventures
Baldy is a great family ski resort. We’re immensely proud of our ability to bring families and friends together for epic ski experiences. Our ski rental service provides quality equipment for hire, and Snow School offers a variety of group and private lesson packages. You and your family can enjoy the mountain together, and after a great day on the slopes, take part in some après-ski at the Baldy Bar.
And for those looking for something different during your stay, try out some tubing or snowshoeing once you’re done on the ski slopes. Whatever your ability level or winter interest, there is something for everyone at Baldy Mountain Resort!
SNOWBOARDING
SHRED THE DAY AWAY
Baldy Mountain Resort is a powder paradise for snowboarders! While other resorts will have lift queues stretching back and are tracked out by 9 am, we stay strong throughout the day with little to no wait times. You’ll never get bored finding fresh lines down our chutes or through the glades for days after a dump. Visit Baldy Mountian Resort on the border of South Okanagan & West Kootenay for a BC powder adventure like no other!
A Powder Lovers Dream
Looking for fresh powder at 3 pm? It’s out there. Just another reason to love Baldy Mountain Resort. With over 25 feet of dry interior powder per year, groomed corduroy cruisers, gladed areas, iconic snow ghosts and secret powder stashes, you’ll be carving out fresh trails and lapping lifts all day.
There are two rideable peaks at Baldy; the larger contains our pow stashes and the smaller is home to our Cascade Snow Park where you will find rails and jumps for different ability levels. Start on the big mountain in the morning for some breathtaking views and pow runs and then head over to the park in the afternoon and work on that new trick. Whatever your riding style, Baldy has something for you. Experience the good times and high alpine snow. Want to bring the crew? Check out the accommodations page for house rental options on the mountain or ski and stay packages providing accommodations in the nearby towns.
Something for Everyone
Never ridden before? No worries. Rent some gear from our rental shop and take a lesson at our Snow School with one of our Snow Pros. You’ll start on the magic carpet and, once you get the hang of it, you can move on to exploring the mountain. At Baldy Mountain Resort, we want the whole family to experience the fun, so we offer a variety of lessons for youth, children, and adults alike.
Most of our terrain is suitable for beginner and intermediate snowboarders, so you can ride with the family. All our trails return to the lodge, making it easy to stay in touch with one another. At the end of the day, relax at our Baldy Bar. If you’d like to experience other winter activities, we also offer lessons, snowshoeing and tubing!
