Getting Here

The Baldy access road is a partly paved and partly dirt road.
Winter tires are HIGHLY recommended during winter months.

Baldy Mountain is a 45 min drive.

  1. Head northeast on Fairview Rd toward Station St and continue onto Park Dr.
  2. Turn right onto McKinney Rd and follow for 30 mins until you come to a T junction, then turn left.
  3. Continue to Baldy Ski Hill Rd/Mount Baldy Rd.

  1. Head east through town on Main St/Crowsnest Hwy/Hwy 3 East, and follow for about 38 km.
  2. Turn left onto Canyon Rd off of Hwy 3 and follow Canyon Rd.
  3. Turn left onto Baldy Ski Hill Rd/Mount Baldy Rd.

  1. Follow Okanagan Hwy/BC-97 S and McKinney Rd to Mount Baldy Rd in Bridesville.
  2. Continue straight onto Mount Baldy Rd.

  1. Follow Trans – Canada Hwy/BC-1 E and BC-3 E to Keremeos Bypass Rd in Okanagan-Similkameen.
  2. Follow Hwy 3A E to Hwy 97/Okanagan Hwy/BC-97 S.
  3. Follow Hwy 97/Okanagan Hwy/BC-97 S to Tucelnuit Dr.
  4. Take McKinney Rd to Mount Baldy Rd in Bridesville.

  1. Head East on I-90 for about 79 miles.
  2. Take exit 85 for WA-970 N toward Wenatchee and turn left onto WA-10/WA-970.
  3. Turn right to stay on WA-10/WA-970 and follow WA-970.
  4. Continue to US-97 N and follow for about 35 miles.
  5. Merge onto US-2 E/US-97 N via the ramp to Wenatchee and take a slight right to the US-2 E/US-97 N ramp to Okanagan/Spokane.
  6. Continue onto US-2 E/US-97 N and use the left 2 lanes to stay on US-2 E/US-97 N.
  7. Continue onto US-97 N and follow for about 123 miles to the US/Canada border crossing. US-97 N becomes BC-97 N.
  8. Turn right onto 89 St (signs for Osoyoos Town Center). Follow directions above from Osoyoos.

Baldy Mountain Resort, located on the border of South Okanagan & West Kootenay, transports you into the high sub alpine with views of Canada’s only natural desert and largest wine country. With minimal lift lines and some of the best prices in BC, amazing glades and terrain with champagne powder this hidden gem should be on your bucket list. Here are some of our top statistics about the resort.

Baldy Mountain Resort is the sixth highest ski area base elevation in Canada and is the third highest in BC. Baldy’s day lodge rests at 5,665 feet/1,726 meters above sea level, the ski area is lift serviced to 6,965ft/2,123m, and the summit is 2,310 meters/7,580 ft. Baldy boasts 360 acres of trails with 240 acres of gladed terrain with first-rate grooming and long lasting fresh champagne powder.

With 35 alpine runs, 360 acres of trails, and 240 acres of glades for tree skiing/boarding, practically the entire mountain can be explored. The variety of terrain at Baldy Mountain Resort offers many green, blue or black options off each lift, and all trails return to the day lodge, making the mountain easy to navigate. In addition to our ski and snowboard trails, Baldy also offers 13 km of snowshoe trails for explorers of varying abilities.

Baldy Mountain receives around 25-35ft feet of natural snow per year, and is blanketed in fresh powder from around November to April. Our high elevation means amazing snow quality. At Baldy Mountain Resort we keep you informed with up-to-the-minute live conditions via our webcam, grooming reports, trail and lift status updates, and the latest mountain weather forecast.

Baldy has two chairlifts, Eagle and Sugarlump, as well as a magic carpet and the McKinney T-bar. Our double Eagle chairlift has a maximum elevation of 2,123m, and our quad, Sugarlump, has a maximum elevation of 1,942m. These lifts provide access to all varieties of terrain, from green to black.

The Baldy lodge sits at the center of the resort and is easily accessible from the entire mountain. The lodge can seat 215 people at any one time.

Baldy FAQs

Yes, parking overnight is available in our overflow parking lot. On those heavy days of snowfall we may ask you to move your rig so we can allow for adequate snow clearing.

There are no overnight bathroom facilities available until Winter 26/27

Yes, we offer a full selection of snowshoe rentals for your choosing in our rental shop for $20 a day. We also have a small selection at great rates for sale in our retail shop.

We offer one tube lane accessed on our magic carpet. A valid tubing lift ticket is needed.

Cross country skiing is offered in a limited capacity at the hill. A Nordic trail is groomed once a week that connects the resort to the lower Nordic trails by the transfer station. A map is posted at the transfer station trail entrance.

At this time we do not offer EV charging nor do we offer fuel if you arrive low. Ensure you are fully prepared before you come to experience Baldy.
