Summer Activities
See You In 2026!
There isn’t much going on up at Baldy in the summer, but the Baldy team is working hard to bring additional summer activities every year. During our 2025 summer season we hosted two BBQ days with a community firesmart event, a summer hiking day, and the inaugural Larix trail race.
Keep an eye out on our socials and events area as we look to continue to grow our summer offerings each year.
Summer Hours: We’ll be open on select weekends (Friday to Sunday) throughout the summer. Check back soon for our full summer 2026 schedule!
Hiking
With countless hiking trails winding across the mountain, there’s a route for every skill level. During the summer, enjoy interpretive signage along the paths, vibrant wildflowers in bloom, and breathtaking panoramic views of the valley.
No matter which trail you choose, the experience won’t disappoint.
The Larix
The 2025 season brought the inaugural year of The Larix, a 10 km trail race that starts just shy of the base area and makes its way to the peak of Baldy Mountain. The Larix is Latin for Larch tree, which loses it needles during the winter months, but during race time you can notice the tree turning a gorgeous fall yellow, similar to a typical Deciduous tree.
In its first year, 38 participants took on the course, climbing more than 600 meters to the peak before descending along the Baldy Trail, which spans much of the resort’s main ski terrain.
For summer 2026, The Larix returns with exciting upgrades, including a longer course, the classic 10 km route, professional race timing, and prizes for the top three male and female finishers. Mark your calendars, The Larix 2026 takes place on October 3rd!

With a massive playground above the Okanagan, Baldy offers a breathtaking mountain backdrop for weddings, celebrations, and special events.
Our venue provides the perfect mix of natural beauty and flexibility. With a chairlift supporting both uphill and downhill travel, we can host gatherings in the base area or up in the alpine for a truly unforgettable experience.
